Join chef Denise Cowburn-Levy as she reveals the stories and shares some of her favourite recipes developed for her cooking school, Ginger & Lime.  

Denise will invite you into her homes in Cape Town, the Cape West Coast and Lake Como, Italy. Travel with her to Greece and Thailand as she shares her passion for travel and food, as well as the best traditional tried and tested recipes from each region. These recipes have soul, they have lived and evolved over time, in the age-old ritual of family and friends gathering around the table.

Denise Cowburn-Levy embarked on her modelling career in 1976, and accepted an International contract taking on Paris, Germany and Milan and finally returning home in 1987. Upon return, she starting two businesses in Cape Town, Call A Pizza and Cape Town productions to shoot international campaigns and catalogues.  

In 2014 her cooking school Ginger and Lime was born and five years later Denise opened The  Kitchen Collective in the Bo-Kaap as an extension of her dreams to offer guests a chance to play in the kitchen, hosting big names like Liam Tomin of Chefs Warehouse, Ivor James, Neill Anthony,  Matt Manning and Siba.
